Experience with Chemsketch

Last week, we are given a wonderful opprtunity to try out an a software which is called "Skemsketch". Skemsketch is a chemically intelligent drawing interface that allows you to draw almost any chemical structure including organics, organometallics, polymers, and Markush structures. It is used to produce professional looking structures and diagrams for reports and publications.

To learn more about this software, click here.

By using this software, we are required to do these tasks:
- Drawing the Energy of Reaction Diagram
- Drawing Different Kinds of Orbitals
- Drawing Vacuum Distillation Apparatus
- Drawing a Two-chain DNA Strand
- Drawing Lipids and Micelles

Here are some results for each of these tasks:

5.Drawing Lipids and Micelles

We realized that by using this software, us science students can easily draw chemical structure that can be displayed in a digital form. We learned a lot from this software and we hope by learning the techniques to use this software will help us in our oncoming assignment.

We deeply thank our lecturer, Mdm Linda for guiding us in using this software.

Thank you and wassalam.
